Art Education Preservice Conference 2022

In the fall of 2022 the Art Education Student Organization organized a multi-university conference for pre-service art teachers. This event featured workshops, sessions, a keynote by Metro State University of Denver Professor Anne Thulson, and lots of good food.

Students and faculty from the University of Miami, Ohio; Eastern Illinois University, University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee; and the University of Arkansas joined the U of I students for a day of professional growth and networking.

Alumni from the Art Education program also joined us from Urbana, Champaign, and several Chicagoland School Districts.

Presenters were: Oriya Falk, Kristina Sutterlin, Nicole Walley, Noble Print Club, Emma Osuna, Allison Yasukawa, Mandy Danowitz, Kaleb Ostraff, Ishita Dharap, Carol-Lynn Comparetto, Paulina Camacho, Elizabeth Chong, Grant Thomas, Joshua Ostraff, Tom Lau, Roberta Bennett, and Ann Wu.
